Changing the Face of Yoga Podcast

Hosted by Stephanie Cunningham, a yoga teacher herself who is committed to sharing yoga with anyone, especially the over 50's. Stephanie created this podcast to share how yoga can be practiced by anyone with amazing benefits. Yoga teachers themselves will share their stories; discussing why they teach, who they teach, how students benefit. Every fortnight or so, we will release a new episode. We will talk with teachers about teaching children, curvy bodies, the elderly but also those that each yoga to support students with diabetes, cancer and mental health issues.

Download the podcast here Paula Fletcher has been teaching a variety of courses in rural South Australia. One of her passions is providing a range of courses for a) women who are pregnant, b) very new mothers and bubs and c) mums and older babies. She explains how she designs very gentle classes for the newest mothers and the benefits of yoga for this group. She is also studying yoga for breast cancer and yoga for lymphodoema. Paula shares tips on how to develop a yoga class for those suffering from breast cancer and/or lymphodoema including contraindications and the therapeutic value of yoga for these groups.
